فضائل القرآن
The Holy Qur'an
حفظ القرآن :
عن عائشة رضى الله عنها عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (مثل الذي يقرأ القرآن وهو حافظً له, مع السفرة الكرام البررة, ومثل الذي يقرأ القرآن , وهو يتعاهده, وهو عليه شديدٌ , فله أجران)) [متفق عليه : 4937, 798]
Memorizing Qur'an: Aisha reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Such a person who recites the Quran and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Quran by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward.

تلاوة القرآن الكريم : عن أبي أمامة الباهلي- رضى الله عنه قال : سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول (اقرءوا القرآن فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعاً لأصحابه.. الحديث ) [رواه مسلم : 804]
Reciting Qur'an: Abu Umama reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It."

عن عثمان رضى الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : ( خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه ) [ رواه البخاري : 5027]
Learning and Teaching Qur'an: Uthman bin Affan reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

سورة الإخلاص : عن أبي الدرداء رضى الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : (قل هو الله أحد تعدل ثلث القرآن) [ رواه البخاري ومسلم : 5015, 811]
Suratul Al-Ikhlas: Abu Edarda reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: " Suratul Ikhlas: (Chapter 112) is equal to one-third of the Qur'an!"

المعوذتين : عن عقبة بن عامر رضى الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (ألم تر آيات أنزلت الليلة, لم يُرَ مثلهن قط؟ { قل أعوذ برب الفلق} و{قل أعوذ برب الناس} )) [ رواه مسلم : 814]
Suratul Falaq and Surat Nas: Uqba bin Amir reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: What wonderful verses have been sent down tonight. the like of which has never been seen! They are:" Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn," and" Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of men."(chapters: 112 – 113 – 114 )

سورة البقرة: عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (( لا تجعلوا بيوتكم مقابر , إنَّ الشيطان ينفر من البيت الذي تقرأ فيه سورة البقرة) ) [ رواه مسلم : 780]
Suratul Baqarah: Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: 'Do not make your houses as graveyards. Satan runs away from the house in which Suratul Baqarah is recited."

سورة البقرة وآل عمران : عن أبي أمامة الباهلي رضى الله عنه قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول ( ( اقرءوا القرآن فإنه يأتي يوم القيامة شفيعاً لأصحابه , اقرءوا الزهراوين : البقرة وسورة آل عمران, فإنهما يأتيان يوم القيامة كأنهما غمامتان, أو كأنهما غيايتان, أو كأنهما فرقان من طير صواف, تُحاجان عن أصحابهما, اقرءوا سورة البقرة فإن أخذها بركة, وتركها حسرة, ولا يستطيعها البطلة ) [ رواه مسلم : 804]
Suratul Baqarah and Suratu Ali Imran: Abu Umama reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al- Baqara and Al 'Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it."

آية الكرسي : عن أبي بن كعب رضى الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (( ... يا أبا المنذر ! أتدري أي آية من كتاب الله معك أعظم؟ )) قلت { الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم} فضرب في صدري وقال : (( [والله] ليهنك العلم أبا المنذ)) [ رواه مسلم : 810]
Ayatul Kursi (The Throne): Ubay bin Ka'b reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said to him: "O Abal-Mundhir, do you know which verse of Allah's Book that you have is the greatest? "I replied, "Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal " (2:254) . Thereupon he struck me on my breast and said: May knowledge be pleasant for you, O Abal Mundhir!"

آخر سورة البقرة : عن أبي مسعود رضى الله عنه قال : قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم (( من قرأ بالآيتين من آخر سورة البقرة في ليلة كفتاه)) [ متفق عليه : 5010, 808]
The last two verses of Al-Baqarah: Abu Mas'ud reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Whoever recites the last two Verses of Suratul Baqarah during the night, they will be sufficient for him."

حفظ أول سورة الكهف : عن أبي الدرداء رضى الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : (( من حفظ عشر آيات من أول سورة الكهف , عُصِمَ من الدجال)) [رواه مسلم : 809] وفي رواية أخرى لمسلم : ((من حفظ عشر آيات من آخر سورة الكهف ... الحديث))
Memorizing ten verses of Suratul Kahf: Abu Edarda reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: " Whoever learns by heart the first ten verses of Suratul Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal." This hadith has been transmitted by Qatada with the same chain of transmitters. But Shu'ba (one of the narrators) said: At the end of Suraul Kahf .
