التوبة



عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه قال:  قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (من تاب قبل أن تطلع الشمس من مغربها, تاب الله عليه) [رواه مسلم 2037 ]





Repentance



Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "He who seeks repentance (from the Lord) before the rising of the sun from the west (before the Day of Resurrection), Allah turns to him with Mercy.



فضل الحج والعمرة



عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال; (العمرة إلى العمرة كفارة لما بينهما , والحج المبرور ليس له جزاء إلا الجنة )  [متفق عليه : 1773, 1349]





Hajj and Umrah



Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "(The performance of) 'Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise."



الإكثار من الأعمال الصالحة في عشر ذي الحجة

عن إبن عباس رضى الله عنهما عن النيي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (ما العمل في أيام أفضل منها في هذه – يعني أيام العشر ) قالوا : ولا الجهاد؟ قال ولا الجهاد, إلا رجل خرج يخاطر بنفسه وماله فلم يرجع بشيء )) رواه البخاري : 969



Best Days

Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions of the Prophet (pbuh) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things."





طلب العلم : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (.. ومن سلك طريقاً يلتمس فيه علمًا سهل الله له به طريقاً إلى الجنة .. الحديث ) رواه مسلم : 2699



52. Seeking knowledge: Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah would make that path easy, leading to Paradise.



التفقه في الدين : عن معاوية رضى الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (من يرد الله به خيراً يُفَقهه في الدين ) متفق عليه



53. Learning Religious Matters : Muawiya reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion.



الدعوة إلى الله : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (من دعا إلى هدى, كان له من الأجر مثل أجور من تبعه , لا ينقص ذلك من أجورهم شيئاً...الحديث ) رواه مسلم 2674



54. Calling people to righteousness: Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: He who calls (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhere to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who calls (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.



عن عبدالله بن عمرو رضى الله عنهما , أن رجلاً سأل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: أي الإسلام خير ؟ قال: ( تطعم الطعام , وتقرأ السلام على من عرفت ومن لم تعرف)متفق عليه



55. Greeting: Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: A man asked

the Prophet (pbuh), "What Islamic traits are the best?" The

Prophet (pbuh) said, "Feed the people, and greet those

whom you know and those whom you do not know."



الحب في الله : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه – قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (إن الله يقول يوم القيامة : أين المتحابون بجلالي اليوم أظلهم في ظلي, يوم لا ظل إلا ظلي) رواه مسلم 2566



56. Love in the sake of Allah: Abu Huraira reported that

the Prophet (pbuh) said: Verily. Allah would say on the Day

of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for

My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shade

when there is no other shade but the shade of Mine.

الصدق :عن عبدالله رضى الله عنه: قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ( عليكم بالصدق فإن الصدق يهدي إلى البر, وإن البر يهدي إلى الجنة , وما يزال الرجل يصدق ويتحرى الصدق حتى يكتب عندالله صديقا.. الحديث) متفق عليه واللفظ لمسلم



57. Truthfulness: Abdullah reported that the Prophet

(pbuh) said: " Maintain truthfulness, for truthfulness leads

to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Heaven. A

man continues to maintain truthfulness until he is recorded

in Allah’s book as truthful. Refrain from lying, because lying

leads to blatant evil, and evil leads to the fire. A man

continues to lie until he is recorded in Allah’s book as a liar

.

حسن الخلق : عن عبدالله بن عمرو رضى الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ( إن من خياركم أحسنكم أخلاقاً) متفق عليه



58. Good manners: Abdullah bin Amr reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) used to say "The best amongst you are

those who have the best manners and character."

طلاقة الوجه : عن أبي ذر رضى الله عنه قال : قال لي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم (لا تحقرن من المعروف شيئاَ, ولو أن تلقى أخاك بوجه طلق) رواه مسلم



59: Cheerfulness: Abu Dharr reported: Allah's Apostle

(may peace be upon him) said to me: Don't consider

anything insignificant out of good things even if it is that

you meet your brother with a cheerful countenance.

عيادة المريض : عن ثوبان مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال :( من عاد مريضاَ لم يزل في خُرفَة الجنة) قيل : يارسول الله وما خُرفة الجنة؟ قال (جناها) ) رواه مسلم : 2568



60. Visiting the sick: Thawban reported that the Prophet

(pbuh) said: "The one who visits the sick is in fact like one

who is in the fruit garden of Paradise till he leaves.

الرفق : عن جرير رضى الله عنه , عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ( من يُحرم الرفق , يُحرم الخير) رواه مسلم 2592



61. Tender feelings: Jarir reported that the Prophet (pbuh)

said: "He who is deprived of tenderly feelings is in fact

deprived of good.

الصبر: عن أبي سعيد وأبي هريرة رضى الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ("ما يصيب المسلم من نصب ، ولا وصب ، ولا هم، ولا حزن،  ولا أذى ولا غم حتى الشوكة يشاكها ، إلا كفر بها من خطاياه")[متفق عليه : 5641, 2573]



62. Patience: Abu Sa'id and abu Huraira reported that they

heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as

saying: "Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an

illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the

pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account

of his patience".

كفالة اليتيم :عن سهل بن سعد رضى الله عنه , عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (أنا وكافل اليتيم في الجنة هكذا ) وقال بإصبعيه السبابة والوسطى. [ رواه البخاري : 6005]



63. Looking after orphans: Sahl bin Sa'd reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said: " I and the person who looks after an

orphan will be in Paradise together like this" putting his

index and middle fingers together.

تنفيس الكرب : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم (من نَفَّس عن مؤمن كربة من كرب الدنيا ,  نَفَّس الله عنه كربة من كرب يوم القيامة. ومن يسر على معسر، يسر الله عليه في الدنيا والآخرة ..الحديث ) [رواه مسلم 2699]



64. Alleviating sufferings: Abu Huraira reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said: "He who alleviates the suffering of a

brother out of the sufferings of this world, Allah would

alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of

Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard

pressed, Allah would make things easy for him in the

Hereafter."

عن أبي قتادة رضى الله عنه قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول((من سره أن ينجيه الله من كرب يوم القيامة فلينفس عن معسر، أو يضع عنه).) [رواه مسلم:  1563 ]



65. Abu Qatida reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "He

who loves that Allah saves him from the torments of the

Day of Resurrection should give respite to the insolvent or

remit (his debt).

بذل المعروف : عن جابر  بن عبدالله رضى الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (كل معروف صدقة) [رواه البخاري ومسلم : 6021, 1005 ]



66. Kindness: Jabir bin Abdillah reported that the Prophet

(pbuh) said: " Enjoining all that is good is a Sadaqa."

السعي على الأرملة والمسكين : عن أبي هريرة، رضى الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال "الساعي على الأرملة والمسكين، كالمجاهد في سبيل الله  أو القائم الليل الصائم النهار") [متفق عليه 5353, 2982 ]



67. Looking after widows and the poor: Abu Huraira

reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "The one who looks

after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior)

who fights for Allah's Cause, or like him who performs

prayers all the night and fasts all the day."

الصدقة:  عن أبي هريرة  رضى الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم  (( من تصدق بعدل تمرة من كسب طيب. ولا يصعد إلى الله إلا الطيب، فإن الله يتقبلها بيمينه. ثم يربيِّها لصاحبه كما يربِّي أحدكم فُلُوَّه حتى تكون مثل الجبل)) [متفق عليه : 7430, 1014 ]



68. Giving charity: Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet

(pbuh) said: "If somebody gives in charity something equal

to a date from his honestly earned money - for nothing

ascends to Allah except good - then Allah will take it in His

Right (Hand) and bring it up for its owner as anyone of you

brings up a baby horse, till it becomes like a mountain."

الدعاء للمسلمين: عن أبي الدرداء رضى الله عنه قال : كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: ("دعوة المسلم لأخيه، بظهر الغيب، مستجابة. عند رأسه ملك موكل. كلما دعا لأخيه بخير، قال الملك الموكل به: آمين. ولك بمثل" ) [رواه مسلم : 2733 ]



69. Praying for Muslims: Abu Edarda reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said: A Muslim’s supplication for his brother

in secret is answered. At his head an angel is appointed,

and whenever he supplicates for his brother with something

good, the angel appointed to him says: Ameen, and

likewise for you.

صلة الرحم : عن أنس بن مالك رضى الله عنه – قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول : (( من سره أن يُبسط عليه رزقه , أو يُنْسَأ في أثره فليصل رحمه) [متفق عليه : 2067, 2557 ]



70. Keeping ties with relations: Anas bin Malik reported

that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "whoever desires an

expansion in his sustenance and age, should keep good

relations with his Kith and kin."

الاحتساب في النفقة على الأهل : عن أبي مسعود الأنصالي رضى الله عنه , عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : (إذا أنفق المسلم نفقةً على أهله وهو يحتسبها كانت له صدقة)) [متفق عليه : 5351, 1002 ]



71. Spending on family: Abu Mas'ud reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said:" When a Muslim spends on his family

seeking reward for it from Allah, it counts for him as

sadaqa."

تربية البنات : عن أنس بن مالك رضى الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :( من عال جاريتين حتى تبلغا , جاء يوم القيامة أنا وهو)وضم أصابعه [رواه مسلم : 2631 ]



72. Bringing up girls: Anas bin Malik reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said:" He, who brings up two girls properly

till they grow up, he and I would come (together) (very

closely) on the Day of Resurrection, and he interlaced his

fingers (for explaining the point of nearness between him

and that person).

الصدقة الجارية : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (إذا مات الإنسان انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاثة: إلا من صدقة جارية. أو علم ينتفع به. أو ولد صالح يدعو له)) [رواه مسلم : 1631]



73. Ongoing charity : Abu Huraira reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said:" When a man dies, his acts come to

an end, but three, ongoing charity, or knowledge (by which

people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the

deceased).

إماطة الأذى عن الطريق : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (بينما رجل، يمشي بطريق، وجد غصن شوك على الطريق. فأخذه. فشكر الله له. فغفر له). ) [متفق عليه ]



74. Removing Disturbances from the way: Abu Huraira

reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "While a man was

going on a way, he saw a thorny branch and removed it

from the way and Allah became pleased by his action and

forgave him for that."

الصحة والفراغ : عن ابن عباس رضى الله عنهما قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ( نعمتان مغبون فيهما كثير من الناس : الصحة والفراغ) [رواه البخاري : 6412 ]



75. Health and free time: Ibn Abbas reported that the

Prophet (pbuh) said: "There are two blessings which many

people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing

good."



أجر الصبر على فقد الولد : عن أبي هريرة رضى الله عنه , أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ( يقول الله تعالى : ما لعبدي المؤمن عندي جزاءٌ إذا قبضت صفِيَّه من أهل الدنيا , ثم احتسبه إلا الجنة) [رواه البخاري ]



76. Reward for the patience at the loss of a child: Abu

Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Allah says,

'I have nothing to give but Paradise as a reward to my

believer slave, who, if I cause his dear friend (or relative)

to die, remains patient (and hopes for Allah's Reward)."



سبعة يظلهم الله في ظله : عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:
"سبعة يظلهم الله تعالى في ضله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله: إمام عادل, وشاب نشأ في عبادة الله, ورجل قلبه معلق في المساجد, ورجلان تحابا في الله، اجتمعا عليه وتفرقا عليه, ورجل دعته امرأة ذات منصب وجمال، فقال: إني أخاف الله, ورجل تصدق بصدقة فأخفاها حتى لا تعلم شماله ما تنفق يمينه, ورجل ذكر الله خاليا، ففاضت عيناه"
) [متفق عليه]



77. Shade in the day of resurrection: Abu Huraira

reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Seven people will

be shaded by Allah under His shade on the day when there

will be no shade except His. They are:

(1) a just ruler;

(2) a young man who has been brought up in the worship

of Allah, (i.e. worship Allah (Alone) sincerely from his

childhood),

(3) a man whose heart is attached to the mosque (who

offers the five compulsory congregational prayers in the

mosque);

(4) two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake

and they meet and part in Allah's cause only;

(5) a man who refuses the call of a charming woman of

noble birth for an illegal sexual intercourse with her and

says: I am afraid of Allah;

(6) a person who practices charity so secretly that his left

hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e.

nobody knows how much he has given in charity).

(7) a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his

eyes get flooded with tears."

الزيارة في الله : عن أبي هريرة، رضى الله عنه
عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: (( "أن رجلا زار أخا له في قرية أخرى. فأرصد الله له، على مدرجته، ملكا(أي : أقعده على الطريق يرقُبه) فلما أتى عليه قال: أين تريد؟ قال: أريد أخا لي في هذه القرية. قال: هل لك عليه من نعمة تربها؟ قال: لا. غير أني أحببته في الله عز وجل. قال: فإني رسول الله إليك، بأن الله قد أحبك كما أحببته فيه")
[رواه مسلم : 2567 ]



78. Visiting others: Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet

(pbuh) said:" A person visited his brother in another town

and Allah deputed an Angel to wait for him on his way and

when he came to him he said: Where do you intend to go?

He said: I intend to go to my brother in this town. He said:

Have you done any favour to him (the repayment of which

you intend to get)? He said: No, excepting this that I love

him for the sake of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.

Thereupon he said: I am a messenger to you from, Allah:

(to inform you) that Allah loves you as you love him (for

His sake).

البعد عن يسير الشرك : جابر بن عبدالله قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: (( "من لقي الله لا يشرك به شيئا دخل الجنة، ومن لقيه يشرك به شيئاً دخل النار".)) [رواه مسلم : 93 ]



79. Not associating with Allah: Jabir bin Abdillah reported

that the Prophet (pbuh) said: " He who dies without

associating anyone with Allah would (necessarily) enter

Paradise and he who dies associating anything with Allah

would enter the (Fire of) Hell."

السنة الحسنة : عن جرير بن عبدالله رضى الله عنه – قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم(("من سن في الإسلام سنة حسنة، فله أجرها، وأجر من عمل بها بعده. من غير أن ينقص من أجورهم شيء. ومن سن في الإسلام سنة سيئة، كان عليه وزرها ووزر من عمل بها من بعده. من غير أن ينقص من أوزارهم شيء".) [رواه مسلم : 1017 ]



80. Setting good precedents: Jarir bin Abdullah reported

that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "He who sets a good

precedent in Islam, there is a reward for him for this (act of

goodness) and reward of that also who acted according to it

subsequently, without any deduction from their rewards;

and he who sets in Islam an evil precedent, there is upon

him the burden of that, and the burden of him also who

acted upon it subsequently, without any deduction from

their burden.

المداومة على العمل الصالح وإن قل:



عن عائشة رضى الله عنها أنها قالت ؛ سئل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أي العمل أحب إلى الله؟ قال (( "أدوَمُها وإن قلَّ")) [متفق عليه ]



Regular constant deed:



Aisha reported that the Prophet (pbuh) was asked: "What deed was the most beloved to the Prophet (pbuh)?" She said, "The regular constant one."
